Notice of Public Hearing
May 11, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Santa Barbara Unified School District will conduct a public hearing at its regular board meeting on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 6:30 p.m., to consider the following:
Purpose: Discussion and possible board action on the following:
- Name the new track in the Peabody Stadium at Santa Barbara High School. The proposed name is Cunningham Track.
- Name the new tunnel in the Peabody Stadium at Santa Barbara High School. The proposed name is the Hutton Parker Tunnel.
Hearing Date/Time: May 11, 2021 during the regular meeting of the school board, which begins at 6:30 p.m. (Reference agenda for estimated time for this item.)
Place: Via Zoom teleconference. Information on this agenda item and the link to the meeting will be posted on the District’s website on the Friday prior to the May 11th hearing. The Board’s agendas and can be found here: https://santabarbara.novusagenda.com/AgendaPublic/
Public Comment: All interested persons are encouraged to attend the public Zoom hearing and to present written and/or oral comments. Letters should be addressed to the Board of Education, Santa Barbara Unified School District, and sent via email to strujillo@sbunified.org, and should be received by the District before 2:30 p.m. on the date of the hearing.
