Jamie Davis

I am the sculpture, metals, and jewelry teacher and am in my 9th year of teaching at Santa Barbara High School. I love the class I teach because it is equipped with jewelry and metal smithing tools such as jewelry saws and benches, soldering torches, a drill press, buffing and polishing wheels and much more. Watching students learn how to use tools for the first time or expand their understanding of 3-D art has been one of the most rewarding experiences. I love getting to provide a hands-on class that equips students with skills that can allow them to make sellable, functional and wearable designs.

Julia Elliott

Ms. Elliott has been teaching art with SBUSD for over 5 years and at SBHS for just over a year. Although she taught at the elementary level originally she absolutely loves teaching at the high school level. She especially loves teaching Freehand Drawing where she can provide students with the tools, techniques, and materials they need to create their own meaningful works of art. The most fun part of being an art teacher to her is getting to see all of the amazingly creative ideas that students come up with. She is inspired by all of them on a regular basis :)
