California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)

California Science Test (CAST)

The California Science Test (CAST) is an online assessment based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

  • April 1 – May 31 (Grade 11)

English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)

The ELPAC is given to English learners in grades TK-12.

Gifted and Talented Education (GATE)

Elementary only (all grade 2 screened and by referral in grades 3-5).

  • October 1 – December 19, 2018

Physical Fitness Test (Grades 5, 7, and 9)

The physical fitness test measures aerobic capacity, body composition, abdominal strength and endurance, trunk extensor strength and flexibility, upper body strength and endurance, and flexibility.
