The Multimedia Arts and Design (MAD) Academy prepares students for college and the workplace by providing both traditional and interdisciplinary project-based learning in the evolving field of media arts and technology. The Engineering Academy is a four-year program designed to give students a real-world, interdisciplinary, project-based approach to learning. The Visual Arts & Design Academy (VADA) is a unique program that integrates college preparatory coursework with career-focused art and design instruction. Through a community of committed teachers and professional art mentors, VADA provides students a dynamic and relevant high school experience by using art and digital design as a catalyst to engage students in their academic studies.
The Health Careers Academy is a unique partnership between Santa Barbara City College (SBCC), Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and the Regional Occupation Program. The academy provides students with hands-on experience to prepare them for skilled entry-level jobs in the health care industry or entrance into colleges, universities and/or technical schools.
The Entrepreneurship Academy’s innovative curriculum equips the next generation of civic and business leaders with the tools to successfully develop their own business ideas. Students are engaged in a prescribed three-year course of study in entrepreneurship that expands their ability to spot opportunity, assess risks involved, and understand how to effectively start and operate a small business.
