(c) Including United States history and geography; world history, culture, and geography; a one-semester course in American government and civics; and a one-semester course in economics.

(d) Ethnic Studies requirement (for class of 2024 and beyond) can be fulfilled through the successful completion of a qualifying course that meets the district’s ethnic studies specifications: English 9 Ethnic Studies; Ethnic and Social Justice Studies; Mexican American Literature; Chicana/o/x and Latina/o/x Studies; History of Africans in America.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  1. 60 hours of community service, targeted toward potential career pathways when possible, or 60 hours of an unpaid non-credit earning internship; or a combination of the two.
  2. Completion of a 10-year college and career-readiness plan prior to beginning tenth grade
