While our students were away for the summer, our facilities staff was busy getting our school sites ready for the new year. We completed a number of projects thanks to the support of our voters for passing bond Measures I and J. These community bonds provide dedicated facility funds to make a difference in ensuring the quality of our facilities. They provide opportunities to make necessary improvements that create a positive learning environment for our students, staff, Santa Barbara Unified families, and community. This summer we completed an asphalt renovation of playground and parking lot at Goleta Valley Junior High School, a walkway replacement at Cleveland Elementary School, utility replacement (gas, water, and sewer) at Washington Elementary School, and asphalt renovation of the playground at La Cumbre Junior High School and more to come.
