Michelle Qin, a 2014-2015 eighth grader at La Colina Junior High is also a Broadcom Masters semifinalist. She is one of more than 6,000 nominees throughout the US. Michelle’s project was “The Art of Praise.”

The Broadcom semifinalists are from 226 middle schools in 39 states and American Samoa. They represent 127 regional and state science fair winners across the United State. Semifinalists were selected from more than 2,230 applicants after each application received three independent readings and evaluations by distinguished scientists, engineers, and educators. The nominees qualified to enter the Broadcom Masters by being among the top 10 percent of the participants at their SSP-affiliated science fairs.

Michelle’s project was done while she was a student of L’aura Ulvaeus, La Colina Junior High School.
