Full day preschools provide full time quality early education programs for parents who are working, enrolled in job skills training or school, or who have children who are at risk of abuse.
The full day preschools operated by the Santa Barbara Unified School District are funded by the State Department of Education, Child Development Division. In order for families to be eligible for services, they must meet the state’s eligibility and income guidelines.
Children between the ages of two and one half to five-years of age are eligible for enrollment. Full day preschools operating hours are as follows:
Franklin Full Day Preschool: 7:30 A.M. – 5:15 P.M.
Las Flores Full Day Preschool: 7:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.
Santa Barbara High School Early Years: 7:30 A.M.- 5:00 P.M.
They are open Monday through Friday most days of the year, except for major holidays. The program serves a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack each day provided by the district’s Food Services Department.
