SBHS’s Virtual Enterprise Firm, Power Up, competed in the state business competition in Bakersfield, CA on January 18th and 19th. At the CA State Trade Show, Power Up competed against 150+ other schools to place in the top 8 and become a finalist to represent CA at the national level.
On April 3rd, they will move on to The National Business Plan competition at the Youth Business Summit in New York City. Power Up will present their business plan to judges, competing against 28 other qualifying top Virtual Enterprise firms from across the nation. These 28 firms have competed against over 500 other participants to become the elite business plan teams in the nation, which include SBHS’s Power Up. The business plan team at Power Up consists of Mario Hernandez (CFO), Ben Badillo (COO), Nicholas Ziliotto (VP of Accounting), and Pablo Do Prado (CEO). These four students have worked tirelessly throughout the year to perfect their business plan. They wouldn’t have been able achieve such great results without the help of the rest of the team at Power Up.
