SBHS Virtual Enterprise Off and Running at San Diego Trade Show

Virtual enterprise studentsSanta Barbara High School Virtual Enterprise Program had a strong showing at the San Diego Virtual Enterprise Trade Show on December 2, 2016. The program took third place in “Novice Booth Design” and placed in the top five in two gold standard categories: “Salesmanship” as well as “Product Catalog.”

Instructor Brandon Holle said, “Our students have done a great job in various competitions to showcase their business skills on projects they have been working on all year. Students obtain experience in every aspect in the business world and are able to attend trade shows and buy and sell with other virtual companies. They design a virtual company from the ground up.” He added, “Santa Barbara High’s company this year is Power Up, where they sell electric bikes, scooters, and skateboards in the virtual marketplace. Santa Barbara High’s Virtual Enterprise class will attend the state competitions in Bakersfield on January 18 and 19, where they will compete in 15 different business competitions.”
