San Marcos High School’s Kids Helping Kids is launching a new project this fall. The Foster Resource Center is a campaign started through a partnership between Kids Helping Kids and San Marcos’ own Mr. Frank Koroshec, who runs the program RFASST (Resource Family Association Student Support Team). “With 500 foster children in Santa Barbara, foster parents do not receive much support when they house a foster child. Our Foster Resource Center is meant to be a place they can turn to when they are in need of supplies,” said Entrepreneurship Academy Director Jill Heckman. She added, “We would appreciate your support by donating your used and loved items to our resource center. Items for any age including–or not limited to–strollers, walkers, high chairs, clothing, etc.” Donated items can be dropped off at room I-07 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Julia McMahon, Kids Helping Kids director of outreach, is operating the project and can be reached at [email protected], or at [email protected].
