School Wellness Summit Grant

Following is information and a link to the $5,000 School Wellness Summit grant. The deadline has been extended to Friday, September 16, 2016.



  1. Program must encompass either workplace wellness, student or community wellness, food literacy, nutrition, or physical activity and be consistent with the values of the School Wellness Summit by creating, supporting, and sustaining a culture of health and wellness in the Santa Barbara County public school community.
  2. Application must specify what target population will benefit from the program.


This grant opportunity is currently only open to Santa Barbara County public schools.

Call for proposals are currently open to teams only in Santa Barbara County (i.e., comprised of administration, teachers, wellness committees, PTOs, PTSAs, food service) consisting of at least five members (preferably from different departments) responsible for program implementation.

Each team must have one designated presenter available to attend and present at the School Wellness Summit on October 26, 2016, at the Alisal Guest Ranch 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
